Bachelor
degree in percussion from UNESP ( University of
the State of São Paulo) and ex-member of
the PIAP Ensemble, he began his percussion studies
in the Tatuí Conservatory with Javier Calvino,
Luis Caldana and Agnaldo Silva. He studied with
John Boulder, Carlos Stasi and Eduardo Gianesella.
He plays as guest musician with various Symphonic
Orchestras throughout the country such as: OSESP,
Orquestra Sinfônica Brasileira (OSB), Banda
Sinfônica do Estado de São Paulo (BSESP),
and Orquestra Sinfônica Municipal de São
Paulo. He was the winner of the Young Soloists of
Symphonic Bands
prize for the state of São Paulo, the young
soloist prize (chamber version )
of the Orquestra Experimental de Repertório
(OER) and was runner up in
the First South American Marimba Contest. In 2003
together with the PIAP Ensemble he was awarded the
APCA prize for the “Best Chamber Music Ensemble”.
He has recorded CD´s with orchestras and the
PIAP Ensemble,
and tours the country regularly. He has participated
in Chamber music
groups such as: Grupo Experimental Villa Lobos,
Percussion Ensembleof
Tatui, Grupo Forum and Percorso Ensemble. He is
currently percussionist
with the OER and Symphonic Band of Cubatão.
