The
members of ensemble are Fernando
Chaib, Leopoldo
Prado, Ricardo
Appezzato, Richard
Fraser and Rodolfo
Vilaggio, whose objective is to research and
play music written for percussion in the XX and
XXI centuries. The Durum Ensemble searching for,
and consolidating a unique musical vision for
the compositions, interpreting and collecting
material during a lifetime of academic and musical
activity of each individual member, and his relation
with composers, maestros and other percussionists.
The
Ensemble has presented their work in various concert
halls in São Paulo and the interior, such
as the II International Meeting of Percussionists
in the city of Tatui and the closing show for
the I Percuba in the Teatro Popular do Sesi, São
Pedro Theatre, etc.
The Durum
was responsible for the opening world show ordered
by the São Paulo city Ballet for the choreography
“A Curved Line” of Israeli Itizk Galili,
music composed by the Dutch group Percossa and
played live by Durum in the Municipal Theatre
of São Paulo.
